The prompt was to create something in collaboration with other undergraduate and graduate students that defines the idea of ‘New’. It was a 2-day creative collision between the New Media Design and Visual Communication Design students at the Rochester Institute of Technology. The sole purpose was to make something cool that is a mix of everything we know and have learned during our time at RIT.

Our project focused on creating a visual representation of what New Media means by integrating an augmented reality experience that would be interactive everywhere on campus. Just scan the QR code, and witness a small visualisation of what we think are the possibilities in New Media Design. The motion piece itself was a visualisation of the different styles that constitute our branch of design - we created something about the craft in design digitized it and added a technology (AR) integration to the project.

We were a group of 9 students (2 graduate and 7 undergraduate), fondly called Team 6.
